About The Author
A.H. King is a Canadian dark romance author. Her debut novel Where Darkness Bleeds was published in October of 2023. Writing started for her at an early age and first included the publishing of poetry but she didn't truly find her voice in her writing until she discovered her love for the darker side of things. She is both an avid reader, immersing herself in various fictional worlds and a writer, creating them in both contemporary and historical settings, adding haunting twists along the way.

My Story
I found my love of writing in poetry and was first published at age 12 in an anthology. It was by no means a great piece, but it was my first taste of sharing my work and motivated me throughout the years to keep writing. Life didn't go as smoothly as one would hope and writing is what I turned to in order to move through the many changes and difficulties I would encounter. It wasn't until I entered my thirties that I started the real healing in my life. I always knew I wanted to write a novel but never thought I'd be capable of such a daunting project. One morning, I woke up from a terrible nightmare that I just couldn't shake. I knew this was it, the story I had to write so I could give it a happy ending. I took my own trauma and threw it into my characters and a part of me felt a whole lot lighter when I was done. But this was just the beginning for me. This was something I wanted to continue to strive towards in my life, something that would always be there for my comfort and something I could share with others to hopefully help them relate to the characters in my stories or at least help them escape for a little while. I've learned so much from this journey and I'm looking forward to continuing it as life goes on. My imagination is a wild one and I'm grateful every day for it.
