Written as a Poet

In normal words, I would say "You're my soulmate."

But in poetry, I would say “I did not believe in magic until the night fell upon me and the shadows that followed me were you. I did not believe the worst part of me would seek its comfort in your arms until I laid bare on your chest. I did not believe that you would lick the blood from my wounds until your mouth was covered in crimson. You are not my light in the dark, you become the dark with me. You are not my saviour into heaven but my sanctuary in which to embrace hell. You are not my other half, you are made of what I am and what we are made of is not just of love, but of life itself. Our origins are the same. Our ending is too. For there is no me, where there is no you.
